Your home probably wasn’t built with your health—or the environment—in mind. 76% of all electricity in the U.S. is used by buildings…but it doesn’t have to be that way.
In this interactive workshop, you will have the opportunity to identify small changes that can increase the sustainability of homes and communities everywhere. Starting with an evidence-based discussion on “the trouble with buildings,” the session will focus on what people can do NOW to make sustainable decisions in their homes… before it’s too late and you’re making the emergency trip to the hardware store. Participants will take part in a hands-on activity to identify pathways for the transformation of existing homes to be healthier and more efficient, leaving with an action plan to make changes towards sustainability.
