The pursuit of longevity has grown up. Once the domain of charlatans, there are now dozens of well-funded companies pursuing novel approaches toward development that could improve the lifespan—and the quality of life—of dogs and humans alike. Can we help our dogs live longer and healthier lives, and learn how humans might do the same?
This panel will discuss the latest advances in the science of longevity and the underlying mechanisms of aging. We’ll also explore the thesis that improving dog healthspan and lifespan can help researchers do the same for humans.
In a field this complex, can solutions that address aging be proven safe and effective? Can we translate therapeutic advances from model organisms to people quickly and affordably that increase our lifespan and our healthspan?
