China's version of Web2 spawned the most successful products of the platform economy in the world – despite The Great Firewall of China – but what will the CCP do to contain Web3 without stifling the innovation and economic benefits that a decentralised token economy could bring for China? Is it even possible? In this talk, we explore what Chinese platforms, brands, users and ultimately the CCP are already doing in the Web3 space. We look at what's happening now, and predict what may happen in the future!
