Texas has a $33 billion budget surplus. But in a state with robust economic health - Why are some Texans left out of the abundance? Why are many Texans going hungry? We will explore the history of hunger in Texas and why this is a persistent problem. We seek to understand the invisible machinery that perpetuates the struggle. We will conclude with actionable steps that the audience can take with them to address hunger, food insecurity and inequity in their communities.
