Fostering Equity In Gentrified Communities

Date TBA

Gentrification is pushing People of Color out of the core of many major cities and their youth further away from culturally competent educational resources. Large tech employers are often able to afford and recruit diverse talent but have a much tougher time retaining them. When surveyed on why they leave, many cite a lacking sense of authentic community connections. We’ll explore these challenges and how organizations are addressing them via education and workforce development programs.

This special session is FREE and open to the public. You do not need to have a SXSW badge to attend.
