the tiva formed after their previous band broke up in 2018. In March 2018 they released their 1st EP “we are the tiva.” That same year, they were one of ten bands out of 3900 to be selected from Derenno!?SUMMERSONIC!? (an audition held for bands looking to perform at Summer Sonic) to appear on stage at SUMMER SONIC 2019. The same year, they were picked out by Camp Cope, Starcrawler, and other iconic bands for an opening act. the tiva is now highly acclaimed not only in Japan, but abroad as well. In 2022, they released their 1st Album “On This Planet” with Masafumi Gotoh (of the world-renowned band ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION) as mastering engineer. The summer of that year, they beat ~4000 other bands with a record breaking number of votes for the right to play on Fuji Rock Festival’s ROOKIE A GO-GO stage. the tiva is marching forwards with victory after victory.
