Zudizilla at Speakeasy
A whole world feets in Zudizilla`s rhymes. The Brazilian southest rapper reach his success, but more and more the open new spaces and paths with a sophisticated production organically connected with jazz and hiphop culture, Zudizilla absorve too references and ideas from MPB, precisionelly accentuating his work with the present - even when talks about future and past in the same line.
On 2015 he mixed Basquiat and Spike Lee to conceive “Faça Coisa Certa”, the first studio album, bringing light for civil rights and racial debates in Rio Grande do Sul - knowing as most racist state from Brazil, refreshing the local black people movement. Was on casting of #Pulso Red Bull (laboratory of artistic immersion) in
2016, and in this same year was the first rapper to perform on centenary Theatro São Pedro, one of the most iconics form his country. 2019 he present a jazz project called “Jazzkilla” and drop the first act of his trilogy Zulu, “De onde possa alcançar o céu sem precisar deixar o chão volume 1” ( Where I can touch the sky, without leave the ground, volume 1) who had on 2022 the continuation “De Cesar a Cristo, volume 2” (From Cesar, to Christ, volume 2).
