SINE (pronounced like ‘sign’, written in all caps), is the brainchild of drummer, RONA ROUGEHEART. SINE weaves beats with industrial noise and layers of booming bass into a mix of dark, lush fusions with cutting lyrics…a style she calls, “Electronic Boom”. Rougeheart was born in New York, the youngest of a Taiwanese mother and Irish father. She grew up living all over the U.S. and Okinawa, Japan. SINE has played shows with Nitzer Ebb, David J /Peter Murphy (Bauhaus 40 Yr Celebration), She Wants Revenge, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, 3Teeth, Curse Mackey, Twin Tribes, MVTANT, Wingtips and Kanga. Apr’19, she opened for Peter Murphy in Orlando, FL for the 40th Anniversary of Bauhaus Ruby Tour with David J. Peter was unable to perform, so she joined David J, Curse Mackey, Mark Gemini-Thwaite and Marc Slutsky for an impromptu performance of Bauhaus tunes. Mid 2021: SINE signs w Austin based record label, eMERGENCY heARTS.
