O Tortuga is a Mexican rock band formed in 2012, in Mexico City, influenced by surf and garage rock bands from the 60's and the psychedelic sound of bands from California, shortly after they started their carrier, they have been considered one of the bands that influenced the new Mexican rock scene. In 2013 O Tortuga shook the Mexican garage scene with their first EP "Palma Linda", a burst of vitaminized pop and unleashed energy.

Allies of the DIY O Tortuga were founders of the current surf rock scene in Mexico. His self-titled debut album released in 2015 brings together ten songs of irresistible vitality and accurate choruses whose greatest ambition is to worship the sun on the imaginary beaches of Mexico City. In 2019, O Tortuga released " Se necesita libertad", The second album in their career, an album where O Tortuga shows that the quartet grew and the band's leap to maturity in those years is clearly noticeable.

In 2021 O Tortuga releases the single "Enamorado y Bendito" The first advance from their third studio album "Hombre Perro de Tlatelolco" to be released this winter of 2022.
