Charles C. Mann
Charles C. Mann is the author of "1491," which won the National Academies of Science's Keck award for best book of the year; "1493," a New York Times best-seller; and, most recently, "The Wizard and the Prophet," which has been translated into a dozen languages. A correspondent for The Atlantic Monthly, Science, and Wired, he is completing a book about the North American West that will be published by Knopf in 2023. His writing has won awards from the American Bar Association, the American Institute of Physics, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the Margaret Sanger Foundation, the Lannan Foundation, and others. He lives with his family in Amherst, Massachusetts.
