Kansas City Pioneers

LJ Browne is a Co-founder and the Chief gaming officer at Kansas City Pioneers. The Kansas City Pioneers are a multi-discipline esports organization based in Kansas City. Founded in 2019, the Pioneers are made up of some of the top professional teams and players in the world. The initial idea for the Pioneers started during LJ’s senior year of high school and was brought to fruition at the age of 17 while he was attending Fort Scott Community College on a football scholarship, shortly after building a leadership team. Over the past two years, the professional esports franchise has generated close to 50 million online impressions a month from streams, social media presence, and reached revenue in the high six figures. The company also secured six-figure sponsorship deals with DoorDash shortly followed by sponsorships from Logitech, and GFuel. Pioneers has made it a company wide effort to champion diversity, equity, and inclusion. A great example of these beliefs would be their official partnership with The Boys and Girls club of Greater Kansas City unified in summer 2021. Some of LJ's personal focuses is to ensure that, not only is he one of the youngest founders in esports history but that most recognize that he is one of the not many leaders currently representing the black/brown and minority community in the space. He intends to use his platform to raise awareness about career opportunities and advanced esports knowledge to those communities.
