Karl Urban

Karl Urban stars as Billy Butcher in the Amazon Original series The Boys.

Urban is a New Zealand-born actor who was most recently seen as Skurge in Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok, alongside Chris Hemsworth, Cate Blanchett and Mark Ruffalo. He is best known for playing Dr. Leonard ‘Bones’ McCoy in Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness, and Éomer in the second and third installments of Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings.

Urban won critical acclaim early in his career for his performances in the New Zealand films The Price of Milk and Out of the Blue. He went on to star in Dredd, The Bourne Supremacy, The Chronicles of Riddick, Walking with Dinosaurs 3D and RED, among others.

He was recently seen in Star Trek: Beyond and Disney’s Pete’s Dragon.
