Lynn Benander
Lynn Benander is a community entrepreneur and activist working for a Just Transition from the old economy that’s broken and heading off a cliff to one that’s just, inclusive, and earth reverent. She supports the development of community-owned solar projects and energy businesses that bring quality jobs, sustainable products and services, and valuable assets to local communities. Lynn is a founder and manager for the People’s Solar Energy Fund (PSEF), a national nonprofit loan fund led by black, indigenous, people of color and low income leaders where people work together to create and finance community-led, community-owned solar that funnel benefits back to their communities. She provides training and solar project technical assistance to communities across the country as part of PSEF’s TA/Training Network and works with PSEF members to secure debt and equity for their solar projects.
