Henry Williams
At age 19, Henry Williams was the Chief of Staff for the Mike Gravel 2020 presidential campaign, which he helped start with a friend from high school. In the course of the campaign, Henry helped build and lead a staff of over 50 people across the country, plant viral news stories, grow a large online following, and acquire over 65,000 unique donations, qualifying Mike for the 2020 Democratic Primary debates, even though the DNC ultimately excluded the candidate. Following the campaign, Henry co-founded The Gravel Institute, a non-profit media outfit and think-tank dedicated to fighting right-wing misinformation online and crafting compelling messages for the left. At the Institute, he handles strategy, communications, and fundraising. Currently, he is also a student at Columbia University majoring in Computer Science-Math with a minor in Philosophy. His interests focus on politics, philosophy, economics, technology, and the future of human societies and the global system. Previously, he worked at various technology companies, studied educational recommendation systems, and published peer-reviewed research in computational biology.
