Steve Jamison
Co-Writers/Creators/Producers – Mike Brett & Steve Jamison are writing/directing/producing partners, and co-founders of independent production studio Archer's Mark. Their debut feature documentary, NEXT GOAL WINS, won universal critical acclaim on its release, premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival, and winning the British Independent Film Award for Best Documentary.
They later produced the Emmy Award-winning New York Times Op-Doc NOTES ON BLINDNESS (directed by Peter Middleton & James Spinney), as well as the feature-length documentary of the same name, and the companion VR experience NOTES ON BLINDNESS: INTO DARKNESS. All three titles premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
The feature film went on to earn six nominations at the British Independent Film Awards (taking home the award for Best Documentary) and was nominated for three BAFTAs, including Best Documentary and Outstanding British Film. The VR project won the Tribeca Storyscapes award and the Sheffield DocFest Alternate Realities Award.
Recent projects include the lauded Roy Andersson documentary BEING A HUMAN PERSON, which gained Mike & Steve a third consecutive BIFA nomination for Best Documentary, and THE REAL CHARLIE CHAPLIN, Middleton & Spinney’s sophomore feature, which premiered at the Telluride Film Festival in September 2021. The pair are also Producers on Taika Waititi's upcoming narrative remake of NEXT GOAL WINS for Searchlight Pictures.
ON THE MORNING YOU WAKE (TO THE END OF THE WORLD) will be their first foray into writing and directing in an immersive format.
