Laurie Cercone

Laurie Cercone is Director of Investor Relations at Newchip, a global, industry-agnostic accelerator where she matches portfolio companies to funding sources while providing curated deal flow to Angels, Corporate and Early-Stage VCs. She mentors companies on their fundraising and go-to-market strategies with a focus on F&B, Food-tech, Sustainability, and Climate-tech.

Laurie is also Chair President of Central Texas Angel Network and on the Investment Committee. As an angel investor herself, she has a varied portfolio consisting of Life Science, Fin-tech, B2B Software, Advanced Materials, Clean-Tech and Consumer Products.

Previously, she spent 20 years in sales leadership positions with national food manufacturing companies. This includes leading an early-stage growth company to successful acquisition by Kraft/Heinz, assisting in subsequent acquisitions and running a division of subsidiary companies.

Laurie has a BBA in Finance and Marketing from UT Austin, an MBA from University from California, and recently returned to UT Austin to complete a MS in Technology Commercialization.
