Hannah Lebovits
Dr. Hannah Lebovits, PhD is an assistant professor of public affairs and planning at the University of Texas- Arlington. In her research, Hannah examines the ways narratives, norms, rules and layers of disarray drive community development. She is particularly focused on the global homelessness crisis- how it is created and why it persists- and spends her time deeply embedded in the systems that surround people who are unhoused. Prior to joining academia, Hannah worked in the public and nonprofit sectors and was a journalist for a local alternative weekly. Hannah is a frequent contributor to online publications and has written prolifically about issues related to urban life, social justice and equity, and public policy.
