Amanda Montell
Amanda Montell (she/her) is a 29-year-old writer, linguist, podcast host, and author of two critically acclaimed books: Cultish: The Language of Fanaticism (HarperCollins, 2021), and Wordslut: A Feminist Guide to Taking Back the English Language (HarperCollins, 2019). Cultish has been praised by national and international publications including The Atlantic, The Washington Post, The Economist, and more, and Amanda’s first book Wordslut is currently in development for television at FX Studios. As a culture reporter and essayist, Amanda's writing has been featured in Marie Claire, Teen Vogue, Refinery29, Bustle, DAME Magazine, and others. Amanda is also the creator and co-host of the podcast Sounds Like A Cult, an informative and darkly funny show about the everyday “cults” we all follow.
