Jasmine Crockett
In the midst of political turmoil, economic distress, and racial inequality Civil Rights Attorney Jasmine Crockett laced up her shoes to march for justice and run for the Texas House of Representatives. Her passion for empowering people politically and in justice led to her career as a public defender, county party chair, and civil rights and criminal defense attorney focused on defending our most vulnerable neighbors from unlawful accusations, and exploitation, in the criminal justice system.
Jasmine won her race with a trailblazing voter contact operation that was about listening and learning from the community and earning the trust and support of voters. As a freshman lawmaker going into session during a pandemic, budget shortfall, and redistricting she is prepared a robust and comprehensive legislative agenda to address economic recovery, expanding healthcare and access to the ballot box, lowering property taxes, and reforming the criminal justice and policing systems.
