Jing Liu
Jing Liu has been practicing for more than 15 years working on a wide range of projects both in the US and abroad. Aside from her role as co-founder and principal of SO – IL, Liu also remains academically active with her position as an adjunct associate professor at Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. Her studios have conducted comparative studies between cities around the world, and investigated issues such as latent politics, paradigm shifts, adaptive reuse and preservation in urban sites throughout New York City.
Since 2016, Liu has been a board member of the Van Alen Institute, a non-profit organization in New York driven by the belief that design can transform cities, landscapes, and regions to improve people's lives.
