Mariam is in her 5th year at Netflix as a lead product designer on the TV team. She’s developed features from Top 10 to product offerings that helped drive user acquisition in key international markets.
Outside of her day job, Mariam co-founded Kimoyo Insights, a user testing platform helping global product teams get feedback from consumers across Africa & The Kimoyo Fellowship, a formal design program training the next generation of Africa's leading product designers. To date, 80% of fellows have successfully transitioned into Full Time design roles.
Previously she headed a cross functional research and design team at public data tech startup, Inflection, and studied History of Art & Architecture at Harvard University.
