Harold Paz, MD
Dr. Harold (“Hal”) L. Paz, MD, MS is Executive Vice President of Health Sciences at Stony Brook University where he leads Stony Brook Medicine, an academic health enterprise that includes five health sciences schools, four hospitals and more than 230 ambulatory healthcare settings throughout Long Island. Dr. Paz previously served as executive vice president and chancellor for health affairs at The Ohio State University and CEO of the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. He was the executive vice president and chief medical officer at CVS Health/Aetna and a professor adjunct at the Yale University School of Medicine. He served as president and CEO of the Penn State Hershey Health System, senior vice president for health affairs at the Pennsylvania State University, and dean of its College of Medicine for eight years. Dr. Paz received his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Northwestern University and fellowships in pulmonary and critical care and in environmental health science at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and School of Public Health.
