Yujie is a product designer, HCI researcher, and entrepreneur from MIT who specialized in shaping human relationships with machines and the environment. Yujie has a background in Human-Computer Interaction and Computational Design. His research at MIT Media Lab Fluid Interfaces Group focuses on mediating human attention with EEG-based brain-sensing wearable systems for cognitive support. He also researched circadian health at Harvard Medical School. Currently, Yujie is a SERC Scholar at MIT Schwarzman College of Computing investigating the social and ethical responsibilities of computing.
With professional experiences in healthcare, mixed reality, digital farming, and supply chain industries as well as technology transfer from research to market, Yujie delivers transformative ways for how people interact with media such as brain-computer interface, wearable devices, self-driving vehicles, and responsive environments. His work enhances personal, social, and ecological well-being from the body scale to the planetary scale.
