Henk is an entrepreneur, clean energy visionary and a leading advocate and activist for eliminating humankind’s dependence on fossil fuel. He has founded Blue Planet Foundation, a charity focused on advocacy, building awareness and fostering action for clean energy. He is also the founder and CEO of Blue Planet Energy, a leading provider of energy storage systems, and the founder and president of Blue Planet Research, a research laboratory that has designed and built off-grid renewable energy and storage infrastructures, hydrogen production systems and Mars/Moon habitats. His newest initiative Blue Planet Alliance takes a “mandate first” approach to initiate global climate change action. Prior to focusing on environmental protection, Henk was a pioneer in Japan’s fledgling computer game industry. He developed the first role-playing game Black Onyx and was the founder and CEO of Blue Planet Software managing the rights to Tetris, one of the most popular videogames in history.
