Haruna Katayama
Born in Japan and matured in seven countries, Haruna has been exposed to multitudes of societal norms, but realised one common thing across cultures: stigma around sex. In April 2021, she published SexTech Market Analysis & Branding Guidebook, the world’s first extensive market report on the SexTech industry, in an effort to normalise and democratise pleasure. Currently, she works as a Market Analyst at fermata inc., a Tokyo-based women's health startup ecosystem. In the meantime, she is pursuing postgraduate education at King’s College London, where she strives to further her understanding of the relationship between the brain and orgasm/sexual dysfunction, particularly that of women. Haruna is also a fellow at MasaSon Foundation, led by Softbank Group Chairman, and earned her Bachelor's degree at Minerva Schools at KGI (current Minerva University).
