Alvaro Piaggio

Alvaro is a Policy Advisor for HRF’s legal and policy team, where he contributes to research and advocacy initiatives related to authoritarianism and its connection with institutions and human rights. He has worked on research projects related to the link between the war on drugs and the erosion of democracy, as well as authoritarianism in general in Latin America. Alvaro has previously worked as a lecturer of Economics and has translated dozens of articles and books on subjects related to human rights, governance and economics.
