Charnelle Hicks is the President of CHPlanning and Nspiregreen, a CHPlanning subsidiary and leader in mobility planning, equity planning, and environmental justice. They work with the nation’s leaders in Vision Zero analysis, Safe Routes to School, and Complete Streets planning and analysis. She has received the Philadelphia Business Journal Minority Business Leaders award and has been recognized by the Womens’ Transportation Seminar, the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials, and other organizations committed to equity in mobility and transportation. She served as Vice-Chair of the American Planning Association Transportation Division and as a member of the Executive Committee for the American Planning Association Planning in the Black Community Division. She is a researcher and review panelist for the Transportation Research Board. Ms. Hicks is a graduate of Swarthmore College where she majored in Sociology and Anthropology with minors in Natural Sciences & Engineering.
