Sarita Alami
Sarita leads programming for Mailchimp's branded content division, which includes its podcast network, video platform, and content-related philanthropic efforts. She built that team from the ground up over the past three years, encouraging them to find emotionally and culturally resonant opportunities to inspire Mailchimp’s curious and creative audience. Since then she's met the company's original content aspirations with a slate of more than 150 films, video series, and podcasts, building an audience of several million, positively impacting business performance, and generating revenue from the licensing of new IP. Sarita has spent several years studying the power media has to create social change and is also a Venture Partner for Hidden Ventures, an investment fund for tools that empower creatives, a SXSW Online Mentor, a member of the National Association of Latino Independent Producers, and one of Adweek’s Creative 100 in 2020.
