Niamh McQuillan is an educator and life-long environmental activist. She believes our current climate crisis is an opportunity to use our collective intelligence and intent to transform and create our world into a healthy and sustainable planet for all generations. In 2018, after reading the UN report on over 6,000 studies from around the world that confirmed the reality of global warming, Niamh stepped up her climate actions. In December 2018 she joined a Sunrise Movement protest and was arrested outside of Nancy Pelosi’s office. In February 2020 she attended a UN conference on Climate. In March she was accepted to attend Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project Conference in Atlanta. She is Vice President for Baltimore Blue Green Just an and active memberof Baltimore’s Climate Reality Project and 350.org. Niamh partners with the Baltimore County Student Council, school leaders, and Baltimore County local government to take direct and specific climate actions in our schools and county.
