Anagha Narayan is your average eighth grader. She's a people pleaser, she's insecure, and she wants nothing more than to have clear skin. Her life changes drastically when she wishes on a fallen eyelash and her wish is granted: she has the clearest skin she's ever had. When word gets out that Anagha has magic eyelashes, the people in her life guilt trip her into giving them up. More and more people wish for superficial and terrible things, and Anagha is unaware of the effects this has on herself and the world. After she's forced to give up her final eyelash to the United States Army General, Anagha has a realization in the form of a pimple-covered singing cow. This is where the aliens enter.
17 october 1961, "Algerian workers" get down the streets to manifest against the mandatory curfew imposed by the Police prefecture. Kamel takes his camera with him, to record anything that could happen. We follow him and his friend, Nabil, through this demonstation which intensify until they reach the place Saint Michel.
In an attempt to ease his sadness, a widowed watchmaker spends his remaining days in solitude, distracting himself with repetitive activities to pass the time. Broken, like the old watches he repairs, he searches for ways to mend his soul and body, looking for meaning and respite in the ebb of time that remains, as his own death nears with every tick of the clock.
It's the last day before a new tennis season begins. Our protagonist, a tennis ball, leaves a voicemail for his grandmother, a 10-pound bowling ball. The tennis ball goes about his day - watching youtube videos running errands, chatting with strangers, and drawing muscle cars. Over the course of a few minutes, we get a look into the mind of an everyday object who is slowing becoming aware of his own limits and impending uselessness.
The Shaman’s Apprentice tells the story of a young shaman in training who must face her first test—a trip to the underground to visit Kannaaluk, The One Below, who holds the answers to why a community member has become ill. Facing dark spirits and physical challenges, the young shaman must trust the teachings of her grandmother and mentor, Ningiuq Angakkuq, and learn to control her fear.
After coming across a coin purse, a passerby finds himself on a perilous journey toward economic turmoil. Drawn by hand on thousands of market data pages from The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times with ink, white-out, gouache paint, gold leaf and other materials.
