Presented by Investe SP

Twenty-first century museums face a new mandate to act as change agents, rather than passive exhibition spaces. They must use their social capital and authority to engage on social issues and encourage visitors to question, challenge and explore their beliefs and values. In this session we’ll examine institutions’ obligations to their communities and hear from a distinguished curator whose projects are addressing these concerns. We’ll look at how museums use new technologies and immersive experiences to expand their community reach and to provoke dialogue on our understanding of society, history and public policy.
