Fighting for Equity in a Polarized America

In a fireside chat, Valerie Jarrett and journalist Jonathan Capehart will discuss engaging communities in the fight for racial equity and fighting for low-income women and people of color. Valerie has been fighting to advance the interests of women and people of color over the course of her entire career, both as a public servant advising President Barack Obama and in the public sector through her roles on the Boards of companies like Walgreens and Lyft. In a frank conversation with Jonathan Capehart of MSNBC and the Washington Post, Valerie will explore the challenges facing these communities and how there are very real steps we can take as a nation to pursue equity for all.
