Finding the Story in Documentary Editing

What are the most effective processes documentary editors can use to find the story?
We'll talk about entire workflow from the time an editor begins through the final cut, including organization of material, making a first cut, screenings and how to decipher feedback notes, and final cuts, music, and finishing. We will also include details about how the film producer can assist and support the filmmaker through this process.

Programming descriptions are generated by participants and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of SXSW.
