How Ransomware is Mutating Like a Virus

Mar 15, 2022

11:30am – 12:30pm CT

Ransomware was thought to have peaked over 5 years ago, but not so. We continue to see headlines screaming reports of ransomware impacting public and private companies, government agencies and critical infrastructure alike.

Cybercriminals constantly hone their techniques to improve an already successful extortion formula that is no longer a secret, enabling new perpetrators to proliferate.

This session, led by a globally renowned cybercrime expert, will illustrate through real world examples what the recent changes are that have caused ransomware attacks to explode in number. He’ll show how understanding these changes provides the first step to develop a solid pro-active counter strategy to ransomware no matter how bad actors continue to improve and evolve their formula.
