Brazilian Favelas: The Community Innovators
Who says that innovation needs to come from hip agencies or high-tech labs? In Brazil, some of the biggest innovations are being realized in and with some of the country’s favelas — including the “Favela 3D”, a program that is using modern urbanism concepts to help our poorest communities. On this session you'll meet in person Edu Lyra, CEO and founder of Gerando Falcões — the largest social franchising in Brazil - that is applying high-tech tools to turn the Favelas into innovations labs. Hosted by Eco Moliterno - CCO of Accenture Interactive in Latin America — Lyra will present on the stage his new project called “FavelaX” that is using high-end rocket science to end poverty in Brazil before Elon Musk lands on Mars.
