In a world where Big Tech has control over our personal lives and our democracy, voices across the political spectrum are clamoring for reform. Big Tech claims it can regulate itself and that interference stifles innovation. Critics think Big Tech can't be trusted to make ethical decisions. When technology clashes with our ethics, how can we respond as consumers and members of a technological society? In this discussion, a former government representative and a philosophy professor come together to discuss a path forward. Former Member of European Parliament for the Dutch liberal democratic party Mariejte Schaake will be in conversation with Stanford Professor of Philosophy and Political Science Rob Reich.
