An obsession with optimizing romance is pushing tech further into our most personal relationships. Researchers have trained AI to generate portraits of your dream partner by looking at brain scans. Doctors are working on implants that deliver an orgasm at the push of a button. And Netflix’s “The One” explores a future where DNA matchmaking makes it possible for everyone to find their soulmate. Despite these advancements, finding “the one” hasn’t seemed to get any easier. We explore what happens when data and deep learning turn love into a science. Is tech killing the mood, or will it help us find our happily ever after?
