“Tires,” “auto industry,” and “fleets” aren’t the first words people associate with sustainability. The transportation industry, however, is looking to change those perceptions by addressing the integral role mobility will play in achieving a greener future. First, the panel will explore the promise of electric vehicles (EVs) from a manufacturer, supplier and fleet perspective, examining recent advancements in EV-related automotive and tire technology and their application in the real world of vehicle fleets. The panel will also explore the steps these companies are taking to reduce their own environmental footprints by cutting energy consumption, limiting emissions, and using sustainable materials while still helping people and goods arrive safely at their destinations.
