End in Mind: Future of Psychedelics in End of Life
There is compelling evidence that psychedelic substances, when given in a controlled and carefully monitored environment, can reduce existential fear and suffering during serious illness and at end of life. This is a paradigm shift. The fact that a treatment may exist that can reduce trauma and distress for people at a time when modern medicine has no good way of doing so deserves attention. Tune in to hear from practicing clinicians and thought leaders in this rapidly emerging space about how psychedelic therapies are changing the future of end of life care and creating a cultural shift in the way we define the meaning of both living well and ending well.
