Capture Phase formed in Austin, TX in 2019, with a lineup consisting of members of local mainstays Honey and Salt, Ballerino, and Mode Dodeca. Following their debut live performance in August 2019, Capture Phase recorded a three song EP on a weekend of September of the same year, and have plans to record an LP in 2022, followed by a tour.

Best described as a post-punk band, Capture Phase's music ranges from the never-stagnant urge to develop and redefine punk, experimental, post-hardcore, math rock, and minimalism. "While they may not sound like your typical fist-in-the-air, mosh-pit punkers, Capture Phase still have a punk streak that’s evident in their delivery and attitude" (Colin's Punk Rock World).
