Nicolás Molina
He is a Uruguayan songwriter who was born in Aguas Dulces, a desolated seaside village surrounded by palm trees and near the Brazilian frontier.
His two firsts albums, “El Desencanto” (2014) and “El Folk de la Frontera” (2016), were signed under the name of “Molina y los Cósmicos”. Both albums opened him doors in different festivals and allowed him to perform in Argentina, Brazil, USA, México y Uruguay. In 2016 , an American media like KEXP (where he did a live "Full Performance") picked him as one of the latinamerican artists of the year. Also Billboard put him between the "10 Latin Artists to See", in the context of his performance in SXSW 2016.
He has won several awards such as the "National Music Award" (Ministry of Culture), and 5 "Premios Graffiti" in different categories: Best Solo Artist , Best Indie Album and Best Producer in collaboration with Florencia Nuñez in her album and documentary "Porque todas las quiero cantar".
His last album, "Querencia", was recorded in Molina's house and mixed in Tucson by Craig Schumacher.
Molina will be touring the USA along with his band "Los Cosmicos", formed by Ripi Arruti, Ignacio Vitancurt and Emma Ralph.
