18-year-old high school girl Shengnan is invited to a mysterious party by her cousin. She enters a night of adventures in the adults' world.
It's 1996 in South LA and Tanisha is mourning the recent loss of her mom. Much to Tanisha's dismay, her dad, Nate, makes them pack up all of her mom's belongings for charity, burying himself in this work to numb his own pain. He wants to push the family forward and leave the past behind, uncertain of how to deal with the feelings of a heartbroken teenager. When they hear breaking news of the death of Tupac-- an icon Tanisha and her mom once held dear-- their confrontation reaches a boiling point. Tanisha wants to attend Tupac's vigil but is challenged by Nate until he's forced to see people grieve in different ways, and mourning Tupac provides a way for Tanisha to mourn her mom, as well.
Nelly lives alone with her elderly father. The only way she makes ends meet is by working as a street vendor from dawn to dusk. She has learned not to trust anyone until one day she is forced to take a leap of faith or be resigned in her position forever.

In spite of these dangers, and the friends it affected, Lil’ Ant’s fascination with the sky is boundless. He is fascinated by Pegasus, the Greek mythological creature. He dreams of flying like him and sees a mysterious group of airplane people who come out to fly every evening. His father begins to see his son’s interest in flying grow just like he once did when he was his son’s age. He understands that Lil Ant will be flying soon, urging him to bless his son’s upcoming flight with a father’s prayer meant for him and the entire community.
At the tail end of a great date, Jack and Rachel bond over a shared interest in deconstructing traditional relationship structures. When Jack reveals the reality of his "radical" open relationship, things take a turn for the absurd in this short film about the co-option of the language of liberation for means of manipulation and control.

In the face of professional and personal adversity, Kingyo looks decidedly inward for strength through empathy and kindness.
At a water park deep in the Appalachian Mountains, Nelly locks eyes with Dane. On an awkward date, they drive around their West Virginia town, and Dane shares a version of himself others don’t see.
