Big Bill is a band from Austin, Texas, known for their chaotic live shows and ironic take on punk rock. Embracing an ethos of profundity through absurdity, Big Bill takes deadly serious the perspectives of the unsatisfied, the overworked, the unfairly (or perhaps fairly) misaligned. Founded by brothers Eric and Cody Braden in 2011, Big Bill has evolved across many lineup changes, stretching from the rawest, weirdest punk into shades of country, new wave and even quasi-classic rock. (The current lineup is Eric Braden on vocals, Alex Riegelman on guitar, Alan Lauer on bass, and Jeff Olson on drums.) Even as the band's musical ambition grows, the weird Outsider Art element to their music lives on.
