Michael-Sean Spence

Michael-Sean Spence is the Director of Community Safety Initiatives at Everytown for Gun Safety. In this role, he oversees Everytown’s national City Gun Violence Initiative and collaborates with elected officials, law enforcement and community-based organizations to develop and implement proven, evidence-based strategies. Since joining Everytown, Mr. Spence has led the development of a $3MM grant program in support of 26 community-based organizations in 23 cities, a community training institute in support of 25 cities implementing evidence-based strategies and citygrip.org, a responsive, clearinghouse of gun violence prevention strategies to fuel issue awareness.
