Reggie Moore is the Injury and Violence Prevention Director of the City of Milwaukee Office of Violence Prevention. He leads the city’s efforts to assess, prevent, and decrease incidents of structural and community violence. Reggie facilitated the development of Milwaukee’s first comprehensive violence prevention plan known as the Blueprint for Peace. Throughout his career, Reggie has led local and national efforts for racial, economic, and social justice. At the age of 23, Reggie co-founded Urban Underground, a nationally recognized program for building youth leadership through civic engagement and community organizing. In 2002, Reggie was identified as one of 25 national social justice leaders in the United States by Future 500. He facilitated the national youth engagement roundtable for President Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper Alliance and supported the development of the National Youth Alliance for Boys and Men of Color. Reggie most recently became a 2019 Health Equity Fellow, a program supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. An organizer at his core, Reggie has dedicated his life to being a servant leader, social innovator, and catalyst for change.
