Current executive editor of Pollstar and VenuesNow. Formerly worked at Billboard, the New York Times T-Style Magazine, VH1.Com, Spin and, most importantly, Smug. Music journalist, fanatic, believer; destroyer of genre walls; horribly enthusiastic dancer. Played in bands underrated for good reason: The Homefries, The (Very Nice) Plants, Lincoln's Dick and Scorpio Rising. Co-headed NYC's No Dancing Allowed advocacy group bravely fighting against the tyranny of NYC's absurd cabaret laws (which were eventually abolished).
