Yoichi Ochiai

Media artist, Yoichi Ochiai, completed his PhD in Interdisciplinary Informatics at The University of Tokyo Graduate School. An associate professor as well as a former Assistant to the President of The University of Tsukuba, he is also director of the Center for Digital Nature Development and Research at the university. He is also the Representative Director of Pixie Dust Technologies, a company involved with computational wave synthesis, which he founded . He is an IPA-certified super creator/genius programmer. He is a member of the Japanese Cabinet Office Intellectual Property Strategy Vision Expert Committee which is involved in moonshot research and an envoy of the Cultural Affairs Agency. He has been selected as a thematic producer for the 2025 Osaka/Kansai Expo.
