Barry Jenkins

Barry Jenkins is an acclaimed filmmaker who wrote and directed the Academy Award and Golden Globe winning feature MOONLIGHT. His next feature, the adaptation of James Baldwins’ IF BEALE STREET COULD TALK, received three Academy Award nominations and won Best Picture at the Independent Spirit Awards. Jenkins is currently working on a television adaptation of THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD for Amazon. His upcoming work includes a follow up to THE LION KING for Walt Disney Studios as well as a biopic of famed choreographer, Alvin Ailey, for Searchlight Pictures.
