ixi is a virtual sculpture and event venue. ixi is constructed from two 3D objects, which visualize two different mathematical spaces. Over the course of 12 hours ixi slowly morphs from one space to the other.
The morphing process has been sped up for SXSW, in order to match SXSW’s vibrant environment.
ixi wants to make us question our perceprion and understanding of space.
How do we experience and see space and how does that understanding impact our design of virtual space?

For SXSW2021 ixi was rebuilt for VRChat and can now be experienced on virtual reality headsets for the first time.
