Beyond the Model

COVID-19 has not only been a terrible pandemic, but it has also revealed the true attitudes that some Americans have against Asians. There has always been a history of Asian discrimination in America, and this film explores how those events pertain to our current social political climate. Additionally, the perspectives of different generations will be brought forth as they discuss what it is like being Asian in America, including what it was like growing up and if times have truly changed. This film sets the record straight about common misconceptions and shows that Asians can’t just be lumped into a stereotype.
